My Go-To Fresh Summer FACE!

I'm LOVING this combo. I've been using Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB Cream for a little over a year now and I love it. It gives me such a lightweight, and glowy look, AND its cheap! I get mine from Walgreens for less than $9. In the fall I can pull off using the shade medium deep alone, but I've learned that for the spring/summer I need mix medium deep with deep to achieve my desired shade. I apply it using my real techniques buffing brush, or a damp sponge.I strongly suggest that you try it out especially if you don't want to wear foundation on these hot sunny days.

Product Review: Anastasia Dip brow

I recently bought this after watching SO many reviews and hearing nothing but good things about it. I personally am not the best when it comes to doing my brows and getting them how I want every time, so I figured I'd try it out. I like it, but don't really see what the big deal is. maybe I'm not using it correctly, or something but to me its basically cream eyeliner that your using on your brows. I'm sure if you could find a brown cream/gel liner from the drugstore it would work just as good. I can tell that it will last long because you don't need much product at all so you will get your money's worth (its about $18).  I purchased "Dark Brown", but I wish they had "Chocolate" in stock,  then this review may have been a little different. I purchased mine at my local Sephora, but they may have it at Ulta as well.

Want your nails to grow fast? Try this!

I have the most brittle nails. They always chip, and break really easily. A coworker of mine suggested that I dip my nails in green tea but I opted for Nutra Nail's 'Growth Formula' with green tea and acai berry antioxidants. This stuff really works!!! I've been using it for the past 4 days twice a day as instructed and I already see a big difference in my nail strength and growth. Products don't always do what they say they will but Nutra Nail does for sure. The only con is the weird fishy smell on your nails right after you put it on them. Its not too bad, and you only smell it if you have your nails close to your face. Other than that this is a great product for those trying to grow out their natural nails ! I found this at walgreens on sale for about $4. Hope this helps :)

New Makeup Review!

I usually don't wear drugstore foundation, or concealer but I just recently ran out of my MAC (foundation & concealer) & wanted to try something new. So I came across Maybelline's Fit Me line and I love it! Of course the quality is not as good as MAC, or Chanel but for the price it looks pretty good. I'm a 350 in foundation, and a 30 (cafe) in the concealer. I also picked up their newest mascara 'Mega Plush Volum Express'. It's a gel-mousse formula that doesn't clump or get hard at ALL. I would definitely try it!

Eggs, for my scalp!

Yesterday, I browsed youtube and came across andreaschoice where she demonstrated how to do a coconut oil/egg mask for your hair/scalp. I put my own twist on it and added olive oil (because I didn't have coconut) one egg, and two aspirin. My aunt told me to try aspirin with my shampoo because her dermatologist told her it helps with dry scalp and mine is EXTREMELY dry! So I tried it. It was a weird texture, mainly because of the egg. It makes your hair stiff, and sticky. Its also important to crush the aspirin up as small as you can (like powder) so that you won't have chunks of aspirin in your head lol. I left it on for 10 minutes then rinsed. My hair still felt a little stiff so I then applied conditioner, left it on for 15 minutes, then rinsed. Then I did my routine blow dry and flatiron and my hair was soft and free of dandruff! Its only been a day so I will see if the results change, but for the most part I like it!

I will do this again, probably with coconut oil. Olive oil is kinda heavy.

I used Pantene Relaxed & Natural Shampoo & Conditioner. I also applied Cantu Super Shine hair silk before I blowdryed my hair.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara Review

Hi everybody! Today I decided to do a review on a mascara I've been using for a while. I bought it about two months ago, and at first I HATED it! The wand was always too wet, causing mascara to get all on my lid (and everywhere else). It was horrible. I still have that issue, but I just learned how to position the wand different when applying it. Other than that, I like it. It's definitely worth a try if your into mascara like me 😌. It doesn't clump or anything like that and has a really dramatic effect. Hope this helps!

So this past wkend me & my bf went out to go see 'Rise of The Planet of the Apes' which was a great movie btw, & I took a few pics of myself after I got ready. I'm just wearing mac concealer & tinted moisturizer in NC45, blooming lovely lipstick by mac, gleeful blush by mac, falsies flare mascara, & rimmel eyeliner.

So I got a little scissor happy...

Last week, I decided (since my hair was already short) I might as well get something I've wanted for a while but was too much of a punk to get lol a BOB!

The whole look was inspired by Victoria Beckham .

Short Hair, Don't CARE!

Last weekend, I had a crisis. I had just got back from my bday trip in Miami and I was trying something different so I got a few tracks sewed in (no big deal) but the aftermath was horrible!

Between moving/working/ and going to school my hair looked a mess. I gave in and had to get a...RELAXER :( my hair couldn't take it. It was wet and had to air dry . I had never seen my hair like that in my life lol But with the relaxer came a haircut too because of all the breakage, mind you I hadn't had a perm in 8months. Although I had to get my (shoulder length) hair cut, I actually like the outcome. I didn't at first but it grew on me. Tell me what you think!

My Newest MAC Products

Lately I bought two new staples in my makeup collection. I initally went to the store to buy some new blush. I purchased 'Gleeful' its like a pinkish-red type color. looks GREAT on my cheeks & nose. Only little is needed bc if you use too much you WILL look like a clown lol

Also, I bought tinted moisturizer in Dark Plus because sometimes I like more coverage than concealer. Its not heavy at all which I love bc its summer who wants heavy makeup??

Something old & Something New...

I previously blogged about this Liz Claiborne jacket from a thrift store, but I switched up the outfit a bit because I finally found some cute shorts to pair with it. & guess how much they cost, $3.25!! can u say STEAL. Hope u guys like the fit as much as I did. The earring are also Liz Claiborne, shorts are American Eagle, Dooney & Burke purse is from a thrift store also, and cami is (old) from charlotte russe.

Before my spanish final. I was muy preocupado but I passed the course with a B! muy bien :)



Product Update: Almay Makeup Remover Wipes :X

These are the WORST makeup remover wipes i've ever used! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Yes, they do remove concealer, eyeliner, etc but it causes a slight irritation to my skin and they don't remove mascara. I think i'll stick to neutrogena or clean & clear. They seem to work ALOT better!

Something Borrowed...

A few items from my (small) vintage collection in my closet. Im not into dressing HEAD TO TOE in recycled clothing, but 1, or 2 pieces won't hurt.

4.Almay makeup remover wipes w/cucumber, aloe, & green tea. Not oily at all, but do cause a lil irritation to my eyes when removing mascara. Probably won't buy this again :(
